Hello,

My name is Mick. I'm twenty-three years old living and working in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I'm Irish in heritage and Irish in attitude. I've had this livejournal for many years, though I stopped posting in it well over a year ago.

The purpose of the reincarnation of this LJ, for me, is to offer myself the oppertunity to analyze the aspects of my life through writing and, hopefully, feedback from intelligent and like-minded people.

I am a very candid person and I am honest to the core (often times to my own dismay). I like to think the life I've lead up to this point has offered me many different perspectives with which to view the world. That said, should we add each other, I hope we can both benefit from the input of the other.

Some other "interesting" information about me:

- I have a love of writing...specifically fictious short stories, poetry and the occasional lyric

- When I attended school, I majored (atleast for the most part with all the switching around I did) in History, focusing mainly on Western Civilization, from Ancient Greece & Rome well up to World War II.

- I have two tattoos currently. A Celtic High Cross on my left shoulder and a Shamrock over my heart. I have a few more planned, all Irish in nature.

- My tastes in music are various forms of Rock, from Tool to Jack Johnson...Sublime to Dave Matthews...OAR to Mudvayne. As long as it isn't Rap, Country, EMO or Punk...I can usually tolerate it. My tastes in literature are generally classics. My favorite piece of literature is La Divinna Commedia, as well as certain works of Shakespeare, Milon, etc. My tastes in movies usually lead me to the epic stories, such as Braveheart, The Patriot, Last of the Mohicans, Shawshank Redemption, Road to Perdition...and my favorite: Se7en.

- My favorite television show is House, M.D. - mainly because the main character in that show and I share many character traits (most of which aren't good)

- I am a die-hard Pittsburgh Penguins fan.

I'm sure there's more information about myself that I could and should include but I imagine most of what you need to know about me can be found in my entries or even more simply, if you just ask me. I'll include some pictures, one out of and the rest underneath the cut. I should also mention, I'm not trying to add too many people to my friends list. I'd like to keep things intimate so that I can keep track of my various friends' entries. So if you'd like to add me, please say so. I'll take a look and if you seem like my kind of person, I'd be happy to.
